The Last Laugh
The Last Laugh, in a book club would be more satisfying than reading it. So, I suggest reading it quickly and focus on what you want to say about it to others. Three 70-year-old women decide to leave their families behind and spend a year together in Greece. Their imagined experience differed a lot from the reality, as lovers and children and grandchildren disrupt plans. There’s fun and paid work and wit during the year in Greece, and relaxed readers may find the whimsy entertaining. I read this novel over the course of a day and was mildly entertained.
