Language. What I liked most about Jack Handey’s The Stench of Honolulu: A Tropical Adventure, is the way in which he twists a sentence in one direction at the beginning, then veers in a very different direction to end the sentence. Sometimes I felt as if he were filling in the blanks of Mad-Libs. Handey’s humor appeals most to those of us who enjoy the playful use of language.
