The Killing Habit

Cats. The fifteenth installment in the Tom Thorne crime fiction series by Mark Billingham is titled, The Killing Habit. Detective Thorne gets some ribbing when he’s assigned a case that involves the killing of lots and lots of cats in London. Thorne brings Nicola Tanner into his new case, but she remains involved in a different case involving a new lethal drug. Billingham loves to develop these characters and uses pauses in the action to flesh out more about their personal stories. Readers who like crime fiction with well-developed characters are those most likely to enjoy this novel and this series.
