Taste. There must be a large enough audience for all food topics to prompt publishers to feed readers with books like Anthony Bourdain’s Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook. I found Bourdain’s writing to be blunt, unwavering in judgment and often witty and lively. After I finished this collection of essays I realized that for my taste, I would have preferred eating to reading. Rating: Two-star (Mildly Recommended)
