Witty. Readers looking for a few laughs about our own foibles and those of others will find witty prose in Henry Alford’s book titled, Would It Kill You to Stop Doing That: A Modern Guide to Manners. Alford presents aspects of contemporary life that made me laugh, and got me through the parts of the book that seemed to drag a bit. Readers looking for an Emily Post update won’t find that kind of expertise here. If you like witty writing, this is a book should consider.Rating: Three-star (Recommended)
