Cold. Fans of Jo Nesbo’s crime novels may miss protagonist Harry Hole in the stand alone novella titled,
Blood on Snow, but those who like Nesbo’s depth of character development will love the narrator, assassin Olav Johansen. Olav works for crime boss Daniel Hoffman, a cold and ruthless character. After finishing one assignment, Olav is placed in personal jeopardy by the next case he’s assigned by Hoffman. Nesbo handles the tension expertly, and many readers who like crime fiction will enjoy this short novel.
