Shivers. Some novels can get creepy and scary in surprising ways. Jeffrey Lewis structured his novel titled, The 2020 Commission Report on the North Korean Nuclear Attacks Against the United States, as a government report. The cold and antiseptic nature of government report writing gave me shivers. Any description of the use of nuclear weapons would be scary, but it was the structure of this book that made the probability of such an event seem higher, and the fact that the author is an arms control expert made me shiver even more.
