Puzzle. Readers can stamp one’s fictional passport with lots of entry and exit stamps during the course of almost 450 pages of Chris Pavone’s novel titled,
The Travelers. Despite a fast-paced globetrotting plot, Pavone requires readers to assemble puzzle pieces while enjoying the thrilling exposition. Along the way readers need to tolerate an unsympathetic protagonist and struggle against a tendency to not care what happens to him. Despite those challenges, I enjoyed this novel, and my different guesses at figuring out what was going on.
Rating: Four-star (I like it)
